How I Work With AI
AI isn't a feature I design around — it's how I work. I design AI products, and I build them with AI.
I ship working products, not mockups
Skyfall, Tribe Social, and this portfolio are all live products I designed in Figma and built with Claude Code. AI-assisted development collapsed my design-to-production loop from sprints to hours — every design decision gets validated in running software, and the handoff disappears entirely.
I design for AI as a medium
Agent hierarchies, conversational interfaces, confirmation gates, human-in-the-loop controls — I've designed the interaction patterns that make AI systems feel trustworthy, from Skyfall's multi-agent orchestration to KITT's regulatory-grade AI suggestions where every output stays auditable and under human control.
AI accelerates my entire process
Ideation, research synthesis, content design, prototyping, code review — I work through iterative prompting and rapid convergence: explore wide with AI, judge with taste, commit fast. The craft is knowing what to keep, what to cut, and why.

About Me
I'm Gerardo Vinces, a Senior Product Designer and Design Lead with 9+ years of experience driving impactful design across AI, healthtech, fintech, and enterprise SaaS. Today I design digital banking experiences across web and mobile at First Tech Federal Credit Union. I specialize in simplifying complex systems through human-centered design, systems thinking, and a strong UX/UI craft.
I'm also the founder of Skyfall, an agentic AI workspace I designed, architected, and built end-to-end — proof of how I work at the intersection of design leadership and emerging technology. Before that, my career took me from leading design for oncology research platforms and AI-powered healthcare tools to shaping developer and legal tech experiences, building scalable design systems and shipping products used by thousands of professionals.
I thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where experimentation, iteration, and empathy come together to create intuitive digital solutions.
Outside of work, I'm a passionate home cook, a foosball enthusiast, and a curious mind constantly learning about emerging tech, philosophy, and storytelling.
